EASY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE | By Hubert Cormier

An easy chocolate mousse using basic ingredients? Yes please! This chocolate mousse is delicious and creamy, making it the perfect post-workout snack. This original version is made with black beans (shh, it’s our little secret!), as they add a nice creamy texture to the mousse. Bonus points: beans increase protein and dietary fibre!
Servings: 4 to 6
Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 5 min
Ingredients
✔ 250 ml (1 cup) dark chocolate
✔ 180 ml (¾ cup) warm milk (add more if needed)
✔ 1 can (540 ml) black beans, drained and rinsed
✔ 5 dates, pitted
✔ 10 ml (2 tsp.) vanilla extract
Preparation
1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate in 30-second intervals and mix well between each heating period.
2. In a blender, puree all ingredients until smooth. Add more warm milk if needed.
3. Divide the chocolate mousse into small bowls. Top with granola, dark chocolate chips or nuts.
