Éconofitness Foundation

Notre mission

Why a foundation?

Because every child deserves to experience the joy of physical activity!

A sedentary lifestyle is a societal issue among young people. Too many children and teenagers do not have access to simple, fun and free opportunities to be physically active. Lack of resources, family constraints, physical or psychological limitations—the reasons are many, but the consequences are real.

The Éconofitness Foundation was born from a genuine desire to make a difference. We want to provide all young people in Quebec, especially those most at risk of adopting a sedentary lifestyle, the chance to have positive and rewarding experiences through sports and physical activity.

Above all, we want to remind them of one essential truth: there’s no single right way to be physically active and it’s not limited to just one body type. Everyone has the right to move freely and joyfully, without pressure or judgment.

Inspiring active youth

Every young person deserves to discover what it feels like to move with pleasure, pride and confidence! The Éconofitness Foundation aims to get children and teens aged 6 to 17 in Quebec moving by making physical activity accessible, fun and inclusive.

We want to instill a desire to be active in children and teens while providing them with the means to do so, regardless of their challenges or circumstances.

Respect

Our values

We want to help children engage in a sport or physical activity that they’re passionate about. That’s why the Éconofitness Foundation is driven by human values that prioritize the well-being of young people.

Fun

Being active is meant to be fun! We want every young person to discover ways to get moving that make them smile—whether alone or with friends—and make them want to keep going.

Respect

We respect individual preferences, limits and differences. Every young person has the right to move in their own way, in a safe and supportive environment.

Support

Together, we achieve more! We provide financial support to registered charities for community projects that make a real difference for children.

Simplicity

No frills needed to get moving! That’s why we promote activities that are accessible, easy to implement and tailored to the reality of young people and their environment.

Getting youth moving

By supporting the Éconofitness Foundation, you directly contribute to providing young people in Quebec with opportunities to engage in sports and physical activities. Every donation, big or small, helps fund concrete projects in schools, organizations and youth environments. Help us make physical activity accessible to all children, regardless of their circumstances.

Les bienfaits de bouger

The benefits of physical activity for young people

Regular physical activity has concrete positive effects on the physical, mental and social health of young people:

Improved concentration:

Physical activity stimulates the brain, enhances attention in class and facilitates learning.

Motor and muscle development:

Running, jumping and climbing help build strength, balance and coordination.

Confidence and self-esteem:

Being active in a supportive environment helps young people feel proud, capable and valued.

Positive social relationships:

Group activities strengthen connections and a sense of belonging, foster inclusion and break down isolation.

Maintaining good habits:

Discovering the joy of physical activity early on gives young people the best chance to adopt an active lifestyle for life.
