After two years of taking things a bit slower, we’re slowing getting back to the hectic pace we’re used to. How many times a week do you hear yourself say: “I don’t have enough time!”? In reality, what this means is “I’m not taking the time!” Although most people are aware of the importance of living a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity, it rarely seems to make it onto our "to-do" list. We don't always take the time to move. In reality, scheduling gym visits isn’t complicated at all. Did you know that a 30-minute workout takes up only 2% of your day? These small changes can make an enormous difference in your physical and psychological well-being. We’ve tried them, so we know they work! 📅 ADD WORKOUTS TO YOUR AGENDA The first step is making your workout as important as your other weekly appointments. Always plan your workouts and include them in your schedule. If you don't, it’s far too easy to put them off or even forget about them entirely. There’s no need to plan long workouts of 60 minutes or more. As you'll see below, short workouts are also effective, and they’re easier to fit into your schedule. Especially if you plan to work out at lunchtime or between classes. 🧑🤝🧑 GO TO THE GYM WITH A FRIEND Working out together is so much more fun! Having a reliable workout partner will help you remember your sessions at the gym. We don't always get to see our family or friends as often as we would like. Going to the gym with a loved one is like killing two birds with one stone! Enjoy chatting about your day during your warm-up on the treadmill and relaxing side by side in a massage chair at the end of your workout. You'll see, it's even better than just sitting on the couch and talking. If your workout partner enjoys going to the gym as much or more than you, even better!
