Asian food is often criticized for being fatty. Here is a healthy dip with all the Asian flavours you want that can also be easily transformed into a sauce for your stir fries! I include a portion of cottage cheese for extra protein and to make it the ideal hearty snack. Allergic to peanuts? Simply replace the peanut butter with sesame butter (tahini) and the results will be just as delicious.

Servings: 250 ml (1 cup)
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
✔  125 ml (½ cup) cottage cheese
✔  60 ml (¼ cup) reduced sodium soy sauce
✔  30 ml (2 tbsp.) rice vinegar
✔  30 ml (2 tbsp.) honey
✔  30 ml (2 tbsp.) peanut butter
✔  30 ml (2 tbsp.) grated fresh ginger
✔  15 ml (1 tbsp.) mirin
✔  15 ml (1 tbsp.) toasted sesame oil
✔  2 cloves of garlic, minced
✔  Water
✔  Crushed peanuts (optional, for garnish)

HUBERT’S TIP
''If you aren’t bothered by the texture of cottage cheese, you can skip the food processor. Just stir it all together with a spoon and save some of the washing up!''

Preparation
1.  In a food processor, combine all the ingredients except the water.
2.  Blend until smooth. Add 15 ml (1 tbsp) of water at a time, as needed, to reach your desired consistency.
3.  Enjoy with raw vegetables, spring rolls, chicken skewers or on a vegetable stir-fry.
