🍓 WHO AM I AND WHAT'S MY MISSION?
 
Hello,
 
My name is Hubert Cormier and I'm a friendly nutritionist who, above all else, appreciates the joy of eating well. My mission is to share this joy with you through funny, interesting and educational articles, so that you can discover all the benefits of eating well, whatever your knowledge of nutrition. Whether you are just starting out or a real expert in the field, I will do my best to find topics that you will enjoy.
 
I always stay on top of the latest trends and love discovering the potential new foods and kitchen gadgets can offer. Optimizing my time is my mantra and I'm crazy about meal prepping—or the art of preparing meals in advance. In the coming months, I'll share my best tips, along with simple and delicious recipes that can be prepared in a flash.


👍 MY COLLABORATION WITH ÉCONOFITNESS
 
What pleases me most about my new collaboration with Éconofitness is that I can share my knowledge about nutrition, unfiltered, so that everyone can benefit. I have always enjoyed popularizing scientific data and making it accessible. If you tuned in to Moment Décisif, which aired on V on October 24, I assure you that I will live up to my promises and be the same dude you saw on screen (with less stress on my shoulders)!
 
Funny little anecdote: Renaud Beaudry, Vice-President of Éconofitness, stumped me completely with a very simple question: "Hubert, why should we drink water?" I was fumbling like a beginner, even though I had just completed my PhD in nutrition. I admit that the question threw me and that under stress, I could not give an adequate answer in keeping with my knowledge. However, I promise to answer it very soon, on this blog.


🥕 I'M JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE...
 
Like everybody else, I know that eating well, combined with regular physical activity, is the key to success. On the other hand, like everybody else, I often have million excuses to give up, resist, reject or procrastinate.
 
That's why I'd like to create a solidarity movement, together, based on positivity, motivation and simplicity, to help each other along and achieve our goals. Let's make room for conversation, sharing and fun! The Éconofitness community seems like the ideal place for me to build this mutual support movement in a friendly and unpretentious environment.
 
I look forward to talking with you soon, and maybe even running into you at an Éconofitness gym—who knows? In closing, I'd like to share a perfect post-workout recipe with you:


🍵 POST-WORKOUT SMOOTHIE BOWL 💪

Number of servings: 2
Preparation time: 5 minutes


Ingredients 
  • 125 ml (½ cup) peanuts
  • 100 g (or 1 small container) coconut (or vanilla) Greek yogurt
  • 150 ml (⅔ cup) soy beverage
  • 1 banana
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) tahini butter (or nut butter of your choice)
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) of cocoa
  • 125 ml (½ cup) ice

Topping (optional)
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) berries (of your choice)
  • 10 hazelnuts
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) dark chocolate, crushed or grated
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) white chia seeds
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) bee pollen
  
Directions
  1. Pour the coconut Greek yogurt and soy beverage into a bowl. Add peanuts. Refrigerate overnight.
  2. The next day, pour all ingredients, including the mixture from the night before, into a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into bowls and garnish with suggested toppings or use your own imagination.
