RENAUD BEAUDRY BECOMES COO OF ECONOFITNESS

Montreal, Monday, November 29, 2021 - Alain Beaudry, current CEO and founder of Quebec’s largest gym chain, is pleased to announce today that his son, Renaud Beaudry, has taken over as the company's chief operating officer. Renaud has been with Econofitness since the very beginning. He has already held the title of Vice President since more than 5 years. "The pandemic has made it clear that physical activity is more important than ever for Quebecers. I firmly believe that our mission to make fitness available remains relevant and ensures a promising future for our company and our community," says Renaud Beaudry, now in his new role, as he looks back on the roller coaster ride the industry has been on since March 2020.

This large-scale takeover is part of the succession plan that has been implemented over the past few years for this ever-expanding company. After the opening of new gyms over the last few months in Montreal, Gatineau and Quebec City, Econofitness will continue its projects, aiming to reach a total of 100 gyms in Quebec under Renaud's leadership, as he will celebrate his 20-year career with the family business in 2022. This nomination is also coupled with changes in the management team as Senior Director of Operations, Élyse Perron, is promoted to the position of Vice President. Human, passionate and optimistic, Mrs. Perron is generous of her time and knowledge. After 26 years with the company whose success she holds close to her heart, there is no doubt that she will pursue her management role with great skill in her role as vice-president. With these changes, the new administration will benefit from the experience and expertise of its new strategic advisors, Alain Beaudry and the two former vice-presidents, Judith Fleurant and Caroline Pitre.

The health crisis and the many issues it has created in the sport and wellness industry have proven to be a valuable learning experience for the company's new management. "After 36 years in the company of my two indispensable associates, Judith Fleurant and Caroline Pitre, it is undeniable and timely for us to hand over the reins to our two super leaders who have acquired the necessary expertise for the successful continuity of Econofitness in Quebec. Renaud Beaudry and Élyse Perron will face this great challenge and I wish them the best of success," says Alain Beaudry with much pride.
